I was thoroughly disappointed with my visit today at Riverside Chevrolet. We left our truck for an oil change and two recalls. Three hours later we received a phone call telling us that it was ready to be picked up. When we arrived it was pouring rain and an employee told us to go in the side door. He directed us to "Mike Zamboni". We were greeted by "You will have to wait until I finish what I'm doing". He wanted to know why we were there to pick up our truck because he didn't have any paperwork. He even got into an argument with another employee about the paperwork while we were standing there. At one point he even said "Where did y'all come from?" since we came in the side door. He didn't want to take my coupon because he said I didn't tell him I had one when we dropped the truck off. Other dealerships gladly accept coupons at the time of payment. He finally agreed to take my coupon but made it very clear that he didn't like having to reprint the "paperwork." You asked for my review and opinion.....we will not inconvenience your employee again. There are other dealerships in Rome that will gladly service our vehicle and they will actually do it with a smile!
Only problem was the financial guy was a tad rude when we bought our car about the taxes and such and we ended up paying the higher car payment because he didn���t have the patience to help us find out if we deserved the tax credit or not.. luckily someone in tag and title caught it and contacted me!
This was by far the worst experience I have had with the service department. Really poor communication from the service team to the point that I tried calling for over 2 hours to try to get an answer on whether my truck was ready. Then I received a text message from the sales team during that 2 hours to convince me into trading my truck in on a new truck. His response to me getting poor service was simply that he has nothing to do with the service department. It took over 4 hours to get an oil change, tires rotated, and check a code for the check engine light being on.
Part not covered under warranty immediately due to me not having the defective part . I was unable to retrieve the part due to it falling off in the middle of a four lane busy highway with 70mph traffic. The service person told me that he would follow up with me by Tuesday of this week. I have not heard from anyone as of Thursday morning.
